With winter not wanting to go away here in NY, it has taken longer than usual for us to get out to stretch our legs for a spring hike. But, with spring break curtailed due to snow days, it seemed like the perfect opportunity for a little "staycation" action.

We off-trailed a bit to explore the beaver habitat we saw in the distance.
We didn't see the beaver, but made another friend.
